Are you willing to pay an additional 1/4 of million dollars in taxes a year to pay for them. There are a lot of schools out there and you can't skip any; if you put the equipment in one you have to put it in all of them. No individuals life is of any greater value than another. There must be security guard to operate it and enforce it. Each entrance to each building require a set of devices and personnel. With the volume of students going in and out of buildings, it is almost impractical. I think it will be just as bad as airport. You think education is expensive now, think about how many times it will cost more if such system in place. In stead of hiring all these security guards and equipments, it may be better off hire of counselors and psychiatrist to help people. Or even better yet, forces students to take evaluations or a counseling class to learn how to relief stress and calming emotions. They were all adults, not children we 'must' protect. Would you do the same thing for all office buildings (well, some of them already have that), public libraries, malls, grocery stores, hotels, churches, etc. etc.? . There's not much you can do in situations like this (except maybe unless you are the school - and then you can definitely GET OFF YOUR AZZ AND LOCK THE DAMN PLACE DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
