….Sure,bring a metal detecter and see what you find.I have used them on the beaches in Alabama and Florida.As long as you are on public beaches it is just another hobby.

There should not be any problem, but I would just double check the local laws.
If there are any national or state parks in the area you will find that they are probably off limits to metal detecting.
Some state parks will let you metal detect in certain areas during certain times of the year. The local park office can tell you what their rules are.
